My enthusiasm for dance began in 2004 when I took my Abitur at the SZ Utbremen. My French teacher at the time was and still is an enthusiastic salsa dancer. I learned the first steps and figures in the salsa workshop she organised. A few months later, I was already so infected by the dance virus that I wanted more. Among other things, I attended classes at the Salsa Dance Academy, where I soon went in and out almost every day. With Laine Quesada Abreu I discovered my love for dance, especially Salsa and Bachata.

At the end of 2005 I started to lead my own courses. Even then, I was concerned not only with teaching my students "the right steps", but also with supporting and encouraging them as much as possible in their creativity and expressiveness. Rigid sequences cast in cement are anathema to me. I find it much nicer when my students develop their own rhythm, their own personal "groove", so to speak.

Part of my teaching philosophy is to mix different styles. So my Salsa and Bachata classes also include elements of Hiphop, Breakdance and Freestyle. I also encourage my students to feel the music and have the courage to be casual at times. After all, there are no limits to dance, and I firmly believe that you can conjure up something sublime out of any movement, no matter how simple.

Of course, I constantly invest in my dance and didactic training. I perform regularly and am at many international dance congresses.
